Our Team

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Norman G is the Co-Founder of Heyyy New Friends! Norman G began his career in the event planning business at the High School for Enterprise, Business & Technology as student. Starting off in student government, to senior committee for prom and senior trip, Norman G was always in the forefront of events whether labeled minor or major. Graduating and advancing onto SUNY Cobleskill and the University at Albany, he joined groups such as Pan Caribbean Association, NAACP, ASUBA, Student Advisory Board and the Department of Residential Life.

Norman G was fortunate enough to continue his event planning during his graduate studies at the University of New Haven as a Graduate Assistant at the Office of Student Activities and then residing in the Greater Hartford Area, creating events for both children and adults in the community. Norman’s ultimate goal is to create connection, joy and a great time as you have an extraordinary experience at your event or his.

In his spare time, Norman G likes to read, cook, catch up on television, write, enjoy company with friends and travel domestically and internationally.

Co-Founder Amorrah J was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Amorrah has always had a niche for creativity, and is known for always being organized. She has over 8 years experience in event planning. What started as a hobby–planning and decorating her family events, and MC’ing friends’ events– quickly became more of a passion. This became more evident during Amorrah’s academic career years  where she held membership and executive board positions in groups such as Student Government, Department of Residential Life & Student Conduct, Student Planning Board, American School Counseling Association and others.

Amorrah has also participated in a multitude of volunteer opportunities because she believes that in order to succeed in any aspect of life, it’s important to service and give back to our communities.

Amorrah holds a dual Bachelors degree in Psychology and Human Services and a Masters in Education with a concentration in School Counseling so naturally she enjoys meeting and being around people! Her ultimate goal for Heyyy New Friends is to create safe and fun platforms for people to get together to empower, enlighten and engage in new friendships.
